Creating Flexibility in Your Backup Architecture
Tuesday, October 21
11:00 am PDT

In today's business and regulatory environment, data is growing at an
unprecedented pace and storage needs are growing proportionally.
Unfortunately, this often means growing your data center or impacts to your
production network. This webinar explores adding flexibility, scalability,
and reliability to your backup architecture by using the internal growth and
link-ability of tape storage systems as well as library partitioning, GbE
sub-networks, and SANs. Presented by Dorian Cougias, author of “The
Backup Book: Data Protection from Desktop to Data Center.”

Disk-Based Backup vs. RAID- All Disk is Not Created Equal
Tuesday November 18, 2003
11:00 am PST
RAID arrays designed for general-purpose storage applications simply are not designed to work with the tape functionality of the backup software package, requiring tuning and management nearly identical to that of your primary storage. This webinar discusses the changing landscape of disk-to-disk backup and the advantages of using a dedicated backup and restore device.

is to evaluate the evolving role
of tape
in data protection, and to discuss why linear tape technologies are today,
and will continue to be, the de facto standard for open systems backup and
archival
applications. Representatives from both DLTtape™ and Hewlett-Packard, producers
of LTO Ultrium will be featured in this panel hosted and
moderated
by Dorian Cougias,
